The Choice for a Camera

Over time, the argument for the best/ideal camera for Photography and/or for Videography has been a great topic to ponder on. this has left so many Photographers, Videographers, the up-and-coming content creators with the confusion of the kind of camera that best suits their profession.

With the different brands and companies i.e. Sony, Canon, Nikon, Lumix, Black magic etc. handling the production of both mirrorless, DSLR, point and shoot cameras, they have got good and quality cameras to suit your choice and profession.

 Mirrorless and DSLR Cameras
The mirrorless and DSLR cameras will be our main focus in this blog. this tends to highlight the feature, importance, similarities, its flexibilities and differences. and also why people tend to go for mirrorless lately.

Mirrorless Camera
A mirrorless camera is a type of digital camera that does not have a traditional mirror and optical viewfinder system found in DSLR (Digital Single-Lens Reflex) cameras. Instead, mirrorless cameras use an electronic viewfinder (EVF) or the rear LCD screen to display a real-time image of what the camera's sensor sees.

Their features may include:

If you look closely, you will see that it does not have the traditional mirror and optical view finder. you tend to see your images in real time without passing through a mirror. that is why it is called mirrorless (absence of mirror).

The type of lens it uses is an E-mount lens.
You can manipulate the use of other lenses with the use of adapter.

A DSLR camera, which stands for Digital Single-Lens Reflex camera, is a type of digital camera that uses a mirror and optical viewfinder system to capture images. It is one of the most popular and widely used camera types, known for its versatility, image quality, and creative control. 

The features includes:
  1. Mirror and optical view finder
  2. large image sensors
  3. Manual controls
  4. Durability and build quality
  5. Interchangeable lenses
While DSLR cameras offer numerous advantages, it's essential to consider factors like size, weight, and specific features required for your photography needs. Mirrorless cameras have also become increasingly competitive, offering many similar features found in DSLRs, making the decision between the two camera types a matter of personal preference and shooting style.

If you look closely, you will see that it has its traditional mirror and optical view finder, with enables you to see the images from the mirror through the optical view finder. you wont see you images in real time because it is passing through a mirror.

It uses an F-mount lens. you can manipulate the use of other lenses as well with the use of a lens adapter.
